Retail Security Officer

We are currently seeking professional and reliable Retail Security Officers to join our team at AF Blakemore - Spar Bentley. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced security professionals who are passionate about maintaining a safe and secure retail environment while delivering high standards of customer service.
As a Retail Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting company assets, reducing stock loss, and ensuring the safety of customers, colleagues, and contractors. Duties include conducting regular store patrols, monitoring CCTV systems, completing detailed incident and accident reports, managing DOB entries, responding to security incidents, and carrying out loss prevention activities. You will act as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour while building positive relationships with customers and tenants. The successful candidate will be confident dealing with challenging situations, possess excellent communication skills, and remain professional at all times.
Position 1
24 Hours Per Week
- Monday - Wednesday
- 21:00 - 05:00
Position 2
32 Hours Per Week
- Thursday - Sunday
- 21:00 - 05:00
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal and external store patrols
- Monitor CCTV systems and investigate suspicious activity
- Complete incident, accident, and occurrence reports accurately
- Carry out loss prevention and stock protection duties
- Maintain security logs and DOB entries
- Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies
- Provide excellent customer service and support to store colleagues
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Build and maintain positive customer and tenant relations
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Own transport required
- Previous retail security experience preferred
- Strong communication and conflict management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and attitude
