This position focuses on setting up, running, and maintaining premium binding equipment to deliver top tier printed products. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and calibrate Horizon finishing machinery, specifically the BQ 500 Perfect Binder and Horizon Saddle Stitcher
- Read job tickets to ensure accurate collation, glue application, spine quality, stitching, folding, and trimming
- Perform routine adjustments and minor mechanical troubleshooting to maintain seamless output and minimise downtime
- Conduct strict in process quality checks, verifying page sequence accuracy, cover alignment, and final finish quality
- Assist across broader finishing duties as needed, including folding, guillotining, laminating, packaging, and final labelling
- Keep workspace clean, organized, and fully aligned with safety protocols
Requirements
- Hands on experience operating print finishing machinery, with strong mechanical aptitude
- Solid grasp of perfect binding and saddle stitching processes
- High attention to detail with the physical ability to handle paper stocks and stand during 12 hour shifts
