About the Role
Want a role where you can make a real difference in your community? We’re recruiting Environmental Enforcement Officers to support West Northamptonshire Council, helping to keep the area clean, safe, and welcoming. Working on behalf of Kingdom, you’ll be on the frontline tackling environmental crime, engaging with the public, and improving local spaces for residents and businesses.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out proactive and reactive patrols across the area
- Investigating environmental offences such as fly-tipping, waste issues, and abandoned vehicles
- Enforcing regulations relating to littering, graffiti, noise, and waste compliance
- Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and carrying out follow-ups
- Gathering evidence and preparing case files for legal action
- Using surveillance equipment where required
- Engaging with residents and businesses to promote compliance
- Supporting legal proceedings, including attending court when required
What We’re Looking For
- Confident communicator with strong people skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible approach, including occasional weekend working
- Willingness to complete accredited training
- Full 5-year checkable employment history
- Basic DBS required
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Must be 21+ (insurance requirements)
- Own transport required
- Ability to pass vetting checks
