Role details

The Quality Inspector position is working for a company in Fareham. The role is Monday to Friday, with an early Friday finish. The role is onsite and paying up to £33,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring products meet required specifications throughout the build process and at final inspection. The role will primarily involve visual inspection of high-volume manufactured components to tight tolerances, working in line with AS9100 standards. You will carry out dimensional inspections of in-house and subcontracted parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies using a range of manual measurement tools and inspection equipment, including microscopes and digital microscopes. You’ll follow defined inspection criteria, engineering drawings and inspection sheets, while accurately reporting results and raising non-conformances through the internal MRB process. You will also support stock checks for containment, identify non-conforming material and ensure inspection equipment is correctly maintained and calibrated. This role would suit someone with a good attitude, strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You Will Need

  • Previous experience in an inspection or quality role within manufacturing
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience using manual measurement tools
  • Basic report writing and PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive, proactive approach
