Are you someone who loves turning data into insight? Do you enjoy spotting trends, understanding root cause and using numbers to drive real improvement? If you’re passionate about quality systems and want to influence decision-making across a manufacturing business, this Quality Systems Analyst role could be a brilliant next step. We’re supporting a well-established Portsmouth-based manufacturer supplying high-reliability electrical and electronic components into global markets including aerospace, medical, industrial, automotive and defence. Quality sits at the heart of the business — and this role plays a key part in shaping how quality data is used to drive improvement.
As the Quality Systems Analyst, you’ll be responsible for developing, automating and maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) reporting and analytics. Your focus will be on trend analysis, root cause identification and Cost of Quality (CoQ) insight — helping the business understand not just what is happening, but why. You’ll work closely with Quality, Operations, Engineering and Finance to transform quality data into meaningful, actionable intelligence.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Automated QMS reporting: Designing and maintaining automated dashboards and reports covering NCRs and CAPAs, customer complaints, rework, scrap and yield loss, internal and external audits, MRB activity, ensuring reporting is accurate, consistent and aligned with QMS requirements.
- Trend & root cause analysis: Identifying recurring issues, systemic risks and emerging trends, providing data-driven insight to support corrective and preventive actions.
- Cost of Quality (CoQ): Developing and maintaining Cost of Quality and Cost of Poor Quality reporting, linking quality issues to financial impact, supporting prioritisation of improvement activity through cost insight.
- Continuous improvement & compliance: Translating complex data into clear insights for stakeholders at all levels, supporting management reviews and strategic improvement planning, improving data capture and integration across QMS, ERP and manufacturing systems, supporting internal and external audits with objective evidence and metrics.
This is a highly influential role where your work directly supports business performance and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need:
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in Quality, Engineering, Data Analytics or similar.
- Experience working in a QMS-based or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong data analysis and visualisation skills.
- Experience developing automated reports and dashboards (Excel, Minitab, Tableau, SQL or similar).
- Understanding of NCRs, CAPAs, complaints, audits and MRB processes.
- Ability to link operational quality data to financial impact.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to all audiences.
Desirable:
- QMS and ERP integration experience.
- Lean / Six Sigma or continuous improvement background.
- Advanced automation or data modelling capability.
Who You Are:
You’re analytical, organised and improvement-focused. You enjoy working cross-functionally, asking the right questions and using data to influence change. You’re just as comfortable discussing trends with senior leaders as you are diving into the detail.

- Competitive salary.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
- Additional 3 days off over the festive period.
- Company pension scheme.
- Life cover (3x salary).
- Bonus scheme.
