Retail Security Officer - Tesco Partnership
Location: Tesco Newcastle, NE3 2FP
Pay: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 32 - 48 Hours Per Week
Shift Pattern: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Shift Times: 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 or 10:00 - 22:00 (subject to business needs)
Requirement: Valid SIA Licence and Own Transport Required
About the Role
Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is seeking a professional and reliable Retail Security Officer to join our team at Tesco Newcastle.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing environment while helping to maintain a safe and secure shopping experience. You will provide a visible security presence, protect customers, colleagues and store assets, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting the wider store team.
The successful candidate must be flexible with working hours and willing to work a variety of shifts based on business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas
- Act as a visible deterrent to theft, anti-social behaviour and store losses
- Monitor and respond appropriately to incidents and security concerns
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain detailed records
- Monitor CCTV systems where authorised
- Support store management and colleagues with security-related matters
- Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers when required
- Carry out loss prevention duties and reduce stock shrinkage
- Ensure a safe environment for customers, visitors and employees
What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Licence
- Own transport and full UK driving licence required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional and reliable approach to work
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Good observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to shift patterns and working hours
- Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential
- Full 5-year checkable work history

- 32 - 48 Hours Per Week
- Wednesday to Sunday
- 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 or 10:00 - 22:00
- Shift patterns may vary depending on business needs
