Kingdom Group have a great opportunity for a Security Officer to join our team working within the premises of a site in Middlesbrough, TS3 area. The Security Officer is responsible for providing a secure and welcoming environment for residents within the facility. This position requires balancing excellent customer service with security tasks to ensure safety while also addressing the needs and concerns of the residents and staff.

Salary: £12.21 per hour.
Hours: On average 48 hours per week, on a 4 on 4 off pattern.
Shift pattern: 19:00 - 08:00

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, residents, or employees in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage the sign-in/out process, check identification, and issue visitor passes.
- Maintain visitor logs and ensure no unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Monitor and control building access points, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
- Maintain key control procedures for both staff and visitors.
- Implement proper security protocols to handle breaches or suspicious behavior.
- Conduct regular patrols of the building and surrounding areas to identify any security risks.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities.
- Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or safety hazards.
- Report and document any security incidents, breaches, or suspicious activities in detail.
- Work with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
About you:
- Excellent communication & customer service skills.
- Professional in approach, with a balanced sense of judgement, and a keen eye for detail.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
- A valid SIA DS licence or be in the process of applying for one.
- A full five-year checkable employment history.
- Must be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS paid for by Kingdom.
