As Incoming Materials Manager, you will lead the Incoming Materials and Quality Control function, overseeing inspection, testing, material release and supplier quality activities. Working closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning and Supply Chain teams, you will ensure materials meet all quality and regulatory requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance and quality control activities for incoming raw materials and packaging components
- Manage and develop the Incoming Materials/QC team to achieve service, quality and operational objectives
- Oversee incoming inspection, sampling, testing and material release processes
- Ensure timely disposition of materials to support production requirements
- Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning and key suppliers to maintain material compliance and supply continuity
- Manage supplier quality issues, investigations, complaints and corrective actions
- Support supplier qualification, approval and performance management activities
- Lead OOS, deviation and non-conformance investigations relating to incoming materials
- Monitor and report quality and supplier performance KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and supplier performance
Key Requirements Include
- Experience leading QC, Incoming Materials or Supplier Quality teams
- At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management position
- Strong knowledge of incoming materials management, supplier quality and regulatory compliance
- Experience working with raw materials and packaging components
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with Procurement, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams
- Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office and electronic QMS systems
