As a Technical Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the technical function across manufacturing operations, ensuring products, processes and systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety and performance. You’ll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical and engineering function across the business
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and processes
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering and production teams
- Oversee product and process development activities
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost and performance
- Work cross-functionally with operations, quality and leadership teams
- Support audits, inspections and compliance activities
- Develop and maintain technical procedures and documentation
- Lead and develop a high-performing technical team
What you’ll need to succeed in this role:
- Experience in a Technical Manager, Engineering Manager or similar leadership role
- Background within manufacturing, engineering or production environments
- Strong understanding of technical processes, quality and compliance
- Proven experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
Desirable
- Experience within regulated or high-spec manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of quality standards or compliance frameworks
- Exposure to health, safety and environmental processes
