As a Technical Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the technical function across manufacturing operations, ensuring products, processes and systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety and performance. You’ll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical and engineering function across the business
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and processes
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering and production teams
  • Oversee product and process development activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost and performance

What you’ll need to succeed in this role:

  • Experience in a Technical Manager, Engineering Manager or similar leadership role
  • Background within manufacturing, engineering or production environments
  • Strong understanding of technical processes, quality and compliance
  • Proven experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels

Desirable

  • Experience within regulated or high-spec manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of quality standards or compliance frameworks
  • Exposure to health, safety and environmental processes
