Warehouse Operative / Foundry Assistant in Chichester area. We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Foundry Assistant to join a busy and dynamic team. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 8 hours per day (4 days per week) and 5 hours (1 day per week). Working hours scheduled between 07:00 and 17:00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse & Distribution: Carry out general warehouse and distribution duties, assist with collection and delivery of orders, support retail packaging activities, handle incoming goods, check for shortages, and report discrepancies, identify, isolate, and report damaged or incorrect goods, maintain a safe, tidy, and efficient warehouse environment, operate equipment safely, including forklift trucks and stackers.
- Stock Management: Assist with stock control, audits, and record keeping, maintain accurate stock levels in collaboration with internal teams.
- Administration: Support stock data processing, assist in preparing shipping and delivery documentation.
- General Duties: Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times, follow company procedures, including Health & Safety and quality standards, take part in training and development opportunities, complete any additional tasks as required by management.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Ability to perform manual handling/heavy lifting.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
