Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is seeking a confident, professional, and reliable Retail Security Officer to join the team at Tesco Newmarket Road, Cambridge. This is a permanent position offering 36+ hours per week, with responsibility for providing a strong and visible security presence at the Cambridge store and supporting nearby locations, including Newmarket and Ely, when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrolling Tesco stores to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues
  • Acting as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour
  • Monitoring premises and responding appropriately to incidents
  • Completing accurate reports and recording observations
  • Supporting Tesco colleagues with store security requirements
  • Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally
  • Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining store security

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence
  • Full 5-year checkable work history
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, confident, and reliable approach
  • Good attention to detail and sound judgement
  • Previous security experience desirable but not essential
  • Flexibility to work varying hours as required
  • Own transport and willingness to travel to support surrounding stores, including Newmarket and Ely
