Location: Cambridge (CB5 8LD)

Pay: £13.72 per hour / Weekly Pay (every Friday)

Hours: 35+ hours per week (as per rota)

Shifts: 06:00–15:00 / 15:00–00:00

Requirement: Must hold a valid SIA Licence and have own vehicle (no public transport)

About The Role

Kingdom Group, a key partner to Tesco, is expanding its Retail Security team in Cambridge. We are looking for confident, professional, and reliable Security Officers to join our team. This is a flexible role where you will provide a strong and visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues in a modern, customer‑focused retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrolling stores to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues
  • Acting as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour
  • Monitoring premises and responding to incidents
  • Completing accurate reports and recording observations
  • Working closely with Tesco colleagues to support store operations
  • Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Full 5-year checkable work history
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, confident, and reliable approach
  • Good attention to detail and sound judgement
  • Previous security experience desirable but not essential
  • Own transport is essential

Additional Information

  • You will be required to provide a full five‑year checkable employment history
  • You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately
  • Pay is provided weekly (every Friday) via HIVE 360 Payroll Services
  • This role is initially on a temporary basis and not directly employed by Kingdom Service Group
  • There may be the opportunity in the future to transfer onto a permanent Kingdom contract
