Kingdom is one of the UK's leading security and facilities support providers, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of growth within our Security Services division.

This is not a standard sales role.

We're seeking a proven security sales professional with a demonstrable track record of originating, developing and winning significant outsourced security contracts.

You'll be responsible for securing high-value, long-term security guarding opportunities across commercial, facilities management, logistics, manufacturing, retail and public sector markets.

Operating from a home and field-based position across the Birmingham and East Midlands region, you'll have the autonomy, support and national capability required to win major contracts and make a significant contribution to the continued growth of Kingdom Security.

The Opportunity

This is a strategic new business role focused on generating and converting major security opportunities.

You will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of prospects, engaging with senior decision makers and leading opportunities through the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract award and mobilisation.

Following your ramp-up period, you will be responsible for delivering a £3 million annual new business target, with approximately £30,000 commission available for achieving target performance.

Package & Earnings

  • £55,000 basic salary
  • £7,000 annual car allowance
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • Approximately £30,000 commission available at target
  • Circa £85,000 On-Target Earnings (OTE)

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development
  • Identify, develop and secure outsourced security guarding contracts
  • Generate new opportunities through networking, referrals, industry contacts and targeted prospecting
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision makers across target sectors
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned to growth objectives
  • Create tailored security solutions that meet client requirements
  • Sales & Commercial Leadership
  • Manage opportunities through the complete sales cycle
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, proposals and negotiations
  • Respond to tender opportunities and commercial frameworks
  • Negotiate contract terms and commercial agreements
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth and profitable contract acquisition
  • Strategic Growth
  • Target opportunities across commercial, FM, logistics, manufacturing, retail and public sector markets
  • Develop opportunities within existing customer accounts
  • Monitor competitor activity and emerging market opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Compliance, Mobilisation and Bid teams to secure and launch new contracts

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record of winning outsourced security guarding contracts
  • Experience securing significant-value and multi-site service contracts
  • Demonstrable success in a Business Development, Sales or Strategic Account role within the security sector
  • Experience selling services into commercial, public sector, facilities management, manufacturing, logistics or retail environments
  • Strong understanding of complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and procurement teams
  • Experience developing opportunities from prospecting stage through to successful contract award

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening and reference checks

Desirable

  • SIA Licence (or willingness to obtain following appointment)
  • Knowledge of ACS standards and BS7499 requirements
  • Understanding of TUPE and contract mobilisation processes
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Hub Spot or similar systems
