Shifts: 5 days from 7, Monday to Sunday

About the Role
Kingdom Group is looking for a professional and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at The Harpur Centre in Bedford.
Working within a busy shopping centre environment, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for customers, tenants, contractors, and visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional or someone looking to develop their career within a supportive and established security team.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a visible security presence throughout the shopping centre.
- Conducting regular internal and external patrols.
- Monitoring CCTV systems and responding to incidents.
- Preventing theft, loss, damage, and anti-social behaviour.
- Responding to emergencies and assisting members of the public.
- Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Monitoring visitor and contractor access.
- Working closely with centre management, retailers, and emergency services.
- Ensuring compliance with all security, health & safety, and site procedures.
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will hold a valid SIA Licence and have a professional, confident approach to security. You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, remain calm under pressure, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Previous retail security experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
