We are seeking a CNC Operator to join a successful manufacturing and engineering business in Ashford on a permanent basis. You will produce laser-cut and folded components used across the company’s product range and support the wider fabrication and stores teams to ensure parts availability for both project work and stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC laser and folding machines
- Read and interpret CAD manufacturing drawings
- Produce components from small complex batches through to large panels
- Clean and prepare parts ready for production
- Carry out basic machine maintenance (nozzles, lenses, etc.)
- Support raw material and stock component control
- Provide production timings as required
- Assist with planned maintenance to minimise downtime
About You
- Strong communication skills across departments (fabrication, stores, purchasing)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with welding or grinding advantageous (not essential)
Pay & Hours
- Hourly Rate: £14.75 (paid weekly)
- OTE: £33,900 incl. quarterly bonus (3-month qualifying period)
- Hours: 40.25 per week
- Schedule: Mon-Thurs: 08:00–17:00, Fri: 08:00–16:00, 45 min unpaid lunch + two 10-min breaks
- Overtime: Paid at time and a half when required
- Probation: 6 months
