Are you a mechanically minded, hands-on individual looking to start or develop your career in maintenance? Do you enjoy working with machinery and supporting production in a busy electronics manufacturing environment? This Maintenance Technician role is permanent, based in Andover, Hampshire, working Monday to Thursday 08:30 β 17:00 and Friday 08:30 β 15:30. Salary up to Β£30,000 per annum depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Support the Maintenance Manager and team across two sites.
- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance tasks, equipment checks, minor repairs and cleaning/sanitising machinery.
- Report any defects or issues.
- Assist in training colleagues.
- Help ensure the smooth running of production equipment.
This role is hands-on, practical and ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and working with their hands.
You Will Need
- Experience as a maintenance technician, handyperson or recent apprenticeship in maintenance, machinery, electrical or relevant industry.
- Practical hands-on skills and familiarity with basic tools.
- Mechanically minded with good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and computer literacy.
- Full UK driving licence.
