Workshop Technician
Location: Bathgate, West Lothian
Salary: £25,000 basic + Overtime (1.5x)
Hours: Monday – Friday | (8am – 5:30pm)

We’re offering a fantastic entry-level opportunity for a hands-on individual looking to start or progress a career in the security systems industry. This Workshop Technician (Trainee) position is ideal for someone eager to learn, with a can-do attitude, and who enjoys being on the road as well as getting involved in practical technical work.
Workshop Technician
Key Responsibilities
· Delivering new security systems to customers across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and wider Scotland.
· Supporting Engineers in the Bathgate workshop with basic assembly, preparation, and testing of equipment.
· Visiting customer sites to replace system batteries (similar to a car battery – simple and straightforward).
· Maintaining a professional and friendly manner while representing the company on customer sites.
· Participating in on-the-job training, with potential to progress into a qualified CCTV Engineer role.

About You
· A full UK driving licence (essential, as you will be driving a flatbed truck).
· Must be 21 or older due to insurance purposes.
· Any experience within a manufacturing, technical, or hands-on environment is desirable.
· A willingness to learn, with a good work ethic and positive attitude.
· Comfortable with early starts and long days out on the road.
· Must be able to do an occasional overnight stay.
· Good communication and customer service skills.
