About the Role
We’re currently looking for a skilled and motivated VNA Warehouse Operative to join a busy and well-organised warehouse team based in Chorley. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse experience, ideally in an FMCG or fast-paced environment, and with VNA forklift experience or certification.
You’ll be involved in all key aspects of warehouse operations — including goods in/out, stock control, and using VNA equipment to manage inventory storage safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate VNA forklift trucks to move stock to and from high-level racking
- Unload deliveries and check accompanying documentation
- Store raw materials and finished goods correctly and safely
- Pick and prepare customer orders for despatch
- Use handheld scanners for stock control and accuracy
- Load vehicles safely for outgoing deliveries
- Carry out regular stock counts and maintain accuracy
- Follow all company procedures related to safety, hygiene, and quality
- Maintain good housekeeping and support team efficiency
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Valid VNA forklift licence
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
- Experience using handheld scanners
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends if required
Desirable:
- FLT licences for Reach, Counterbalance
- Experience in an FMCG or high-volume warehousing environment
- Familiarity with stock management systems
