You will work as part of a team on the soldering and assembly of printed circuit boards. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Perform hand soldering of SMT components onto PCBs according to schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Inspect and verify component placement and solder joints using microscopes and magnification tools.
- Rework and repair defective boards and components as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow ESD (electrostatic discharge) procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 standards for soldering and workmanship.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues or improvements.
You must have experience of hand soldering SMT components. You will also have the following skills and experiences:
- Proven experience in surface mount soldering in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- IPC-A-610 certification is preferred but it is not essential.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Comfortable using microscopes and small tools for fine-detail work.
- Knowledge of ESD safety protocols and standard manufacturing practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
