Mechanical Head of Engineering My client is growing, and they''re looking for an experienced Mechanical Head of Engineering to join their team in Manchester.
This is a senior role for a hands-on engineering leader who knows how to turn complex mechanical requirements into successful construction projects.
Youll take ownership of mechanical project delivery, providing technical leadership from design and planning through to installation, commissioning and completion.
The Role As Mechanical Head of Engineering , youll be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering and project delivery function, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to the highest technical standards.
Youll work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, making sure mechanical solutions are practical, coordinated and delivered right first time.
Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of mechanical engineering across construction projects.
Provide technical leadership and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee mechanical design, coordination, installation and commissioning activities.
Review and approve mechanical designs, specifications and technical submissions.
Work closely with project and construction teams to identify and resolve technical challenges.
Ensure mechanical works are delivered in line with programme, budget, quality and client requirements.
Manage engineering risks, design changes, technical queries and project interfaces.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective project delivery.
Support project planning, procurement and construction methodologies from a mechanical perspective.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, specifications and health
