Are you a proactive Health & Safety Officer with experience working within manufacturing or industrial environments? Do you enjoy promoting a strong safety culture, improving workplace standards and ensuring compliance across site operations? We’re supporting a growing manufacturing business in Hampshire who are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Officer to support and drive health and safety performance across the site.

What’s the role all about? As a Health & Safety Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the business to maintain safe working practices, meet regulatory requirements and promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation. You’ll work closely with operational teams, supporting audits, investigations, training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities
  • Support and maintain company Health & Safety systems and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and standards
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments
  • Investigate incidents and support corrective actions
  • Deliver Health & Safety guidance and training to employees
  • Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across the site
  • Maintain accurate H&S documentation and records
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to safety and compliance
  • Liaise with external bodies and auditors where required
What you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Experience within a Health & Safety role in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections and investigations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to influence and engage with teams across the business
  • Proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving
Desirable
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent
  • Experience within manufacturing, production or industrial sectors
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and continuous improvement initiatives
