We are supporting a specialist manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Graduate Quality Engineer to join their Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced engineering environment while developing your career in quality engineering.
Whats the role all about?
As a Graduate Quality Engineer, you'll support quality assurance activities across manufacturing, suppliers and customer-facing projects. You'll work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to help ensure products meet customer specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements. This is a varied role offering exposure to audits, investigations, continuous improvement, root cause analysis and quality systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations
- Assist with customer and supplier quality activities
- Support investigations into non-conformances and quality issues
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions using tools such as 8D
- Help compile quality documentation including AS9102 FAIR documentation
- Participate in internal and supplier audits
- Support continuous improvement projects across the business
- Analyse quality and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support process capability and quality control activities
- Assist with inspection and verification activities where required
- Support maintenance of quality systems and standards including ISO9001 and AS9100
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Quality
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Interest in quality engineering and regulated manufacturing environments
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work across multiple departments and projects
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Desirable: Placement year or industry experience within manufacturing or engineering
- Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, root cause analysis or Six Sigma
- Understanding of ISO9001 or AS9100 standards
- Exposure to engineering drawings or inspection processes
