Machine Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing operation in Huddersfield. This role would suit an experienced production professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality products.
The Role
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialist machinery, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the smooth running of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery in line with manufacturing specifications and production schedules.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
- Undertake machine set-ups, adjustments, and changeovers.
- Monitor machine performance and identify any operational issues.
- Accurately record production data and relevant documentation.
- Support effective shift handovers and communicate production updates.
- Follow all health & safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to follow processes and work to production targets.
- Basic IT skills with experience of recording production data.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement principles would be advantageous. xgikmsk

Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating 3-week shift pattern:
- Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm
- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm
- Week 3: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am
