Health & Safety Advisor Location: Salford Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent An established and highly regarded organisation within the construction and built environment sector is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional to play a key role in supporting operational teams, promoting a positive safety culture, and ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across a range of projects. The Role Reporting to the relevant Health & Safety Manager, you will work closely with site and operational teams to provide practical, professional advice and support on all aspects of health and safety. Key responsibilities will include: Conducting regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments. Providing practical health and safety advice to site management and project teams. Supporting the implementation and continual improvement of health and safety policies and procedures. Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Assisting with the preparation and review of RAMS and other health and safety documentation. Delivering toolbox talks, briefings and health and safety training where required. Monitoring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards. Promoting a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organisation. Building strong working relationships with project teams, subcontractors and other key stakeholders. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or similar role within construction, civil engineering or a related environment. A recognised health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH Construction or equivalent. A strong understanding of current health and safety legislation and best practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage people at all levels. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A practical, hands-on approach to health and safety. A full driving licence and willingness to travel between project locations where required.
