We’re supporting a well-established Portsmouth-based manufacturer supplying high-reliability electrical and electronic components into global markets including aerospace, medical, industrial, automotive and defence. Quality sits at the heart of the business and this role plays a key part in shaping how quality data is used to drive improvement.
What the role is all about
As the Quality Systems Analyst, you’ll be responsible for developing, automating and maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) reporting and analytics. Your focus will be on trend analysis, root cause identification and Cost of Quality (CoQ) insight helping the business understand not just what is happening, but why. You’ll work closely with Quality, Operations, Engineering and Finance to transform quality data into meaningful, actionable intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Automated QMS reporting
- Designing and maintaining automated dashboards and reports covering:
- NCRs and CAPAs
- Customer complaints
- Rework, scrap and yield loss
- Internal and external audits
- MRB activity
This is a highly influential role where your work directly supports business performance and continuous improvement.
What you’ll need
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in Quality, Engineering, Data Analytics or similar
- Experience working in a QMS-based or regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong data analysis and visualisation skills
- Experience developing automated reports and dashboards (Excel, Minitab, Tableau, SQL or similar)
- Understanding of NCRs, CAPAs, complaints, audits and MRB processes
- Ability to link operational quality data to financial impact
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to all audiences
Desirable
- QMS and ERP integration experience
- Lean / Six Sigma or continuous improvement background
- Advanced automation or data modelling capability
