We are currently looking for an Assembler for a Portsmouth-based manufacturing business specialising in the design and production of high-quality electrical and electronic components. The products are distributed worldwide across a range of sectors including industrial, medical, aerospace, automotive and telecommunications. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing established company that will give you the training you need to succeed.

The Role

We are looking for an Assembler that will be working in a team of experts learning the role which involves detailed, repetitive assembly work and inspection of small components, requiring a high level of accuracy and consistency. You will play a key role in maintaining the organisation’s high quality and manufacturing standards.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Friday
3:00pm – 11:00pm
£17.66 per hour, inclusive of shift uplift
Overtime available
Full product training provided

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Hand assembly of small connectors and components
  • Repetitive assembly and inspection of identical parts
  • Quality check patrolling
  • First-off and last-off product inspection
  • Working from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
  • Supporting other production tasks as required, including packing

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
  • Experience working with drawings and specifications
  • Proven ability to work to quality standards
  • Experience handling small components
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, focused and dedicated to completing tasks

This is a role for someone with a background of assembly/machine operation and also with a keen eye to detail.

Public transport links are available to the factory based just outside of Portsmouth.
