This Maintenance Engineer role is working for an injection moulding company based in Rochester. The role is Monday to Thursday, working a 39hr week. The position is paying up to £42,000 depending on experience.
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance across injection moulding machines, robotics and associated equipment, ensuring all machinery is running efficiently and ready to meet production demands. You will respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out both electrical and mechanical repairs, including work on hydraulics and pneumatics, to minimise downtime.
Alongside reactive maintenance, you will maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with production and engineering teams to enhance overall performance and reliability. The role will also involve supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment, managing spare parts availability and ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards.
- Previous experience in a similar Maintenance Engineer position
- Experience with production/manufacturing machinery, ideally injection moulding machinery
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding
- To be able to read/interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- PLC experience is desired
