You will be supporting the Plant Manager by playing a key role in the planning and undertaking of scheduled maintenance of all equipment in all areas throughout the facility. This position offers a great deal of variety and jobs differ on a day-to-day basis covering reactive and proactive electrical & mechanical maintenance.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning and undertaking scheduled / preventative electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Responding to breakdowns and prioritising workload.
- Diagnosing faults and taking corrective action.
- Repairing equipment and reducing downtime.
- Managing and controlling spare parts stock.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Commissioning and ongoing support of any new equipment.
- Reducing the cost in parts and repairs through improved and proactive planned preventative machinery maintenance.
- Supporting plant improvement projects.
- Management and control of all contractor activities onsite.
- Providing support out of hours when needed.
- Notifying Supervisor or Manager of any safety hazards.
The Candidate
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrotechnical apprenticeship.
- 18th edition wiring regulations.
- ECS Card holder preferred.
- PLC system knowledge is essential.
- Must have excellent fault finding skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for communicating and reporting.
- Needs to be flexible, reliable and have the ability to prioritise.
