Are you an experienced Design Engineer looking for a new and exciting challenge? Our client, a market leader in the hygiene industry, is seeking a talented and creative Design Engineer to join their dynamic development team. With a strong focus on innovation, functionality and product excellence, this business is investing in the future and looking for someone ready to make a real impact. This is a hands-on role where you will take part the design and development of high-quality products for the hygiene sector, working on both new innovations and in-market product modifications. You’ll play a key role in concept generation, prototyping and design, ensuring products are easy to produce, install and use. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team including electronic, firmware and software engineers, you will support cross-functional collaboration while producing technical documentation, analysing testing data and contributing to continuous improvement. The role will also involve competitor analysis, assisting in product testing and providing technical support across departments including sales, marketing and quality assurance. You’ll have the opportunity to attend exhibitions, support training and get involved in award recognition efforts with the marketing team. Some travel may be required both in the UK and overseas. Offering a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, this role comes with excellent benefits including private medical insurance, life assurance at twice your annual salary, a 6% company pension scheme, long service holiday award, access to a benefit hub, cycle to work scheme and more. To be considered for this role, you will need proven experience in SolidWorks (2D/3D), BoM management, concept generation and prototyping . Experience with design for injection moulding and machine tools such as lathes and mills would be an advantage but is not necessary.
