We're supporting an established manufacturing business who are looking for a Customer Service Executive to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the link between the customer and internal teams, taking ownership of enquiries and making sure orders progress smoothly from start to finish. What's the role all about? As the Customer Service Executive, you'll act as the main point of contact for customers when placing and progressing orders. You'll work closely with the Production team to understand where orders are within the manufacturing process, communicate customer requirements and make sure potential shortages or delays are identified. A big part of the role is communication. Customers need to know what's happening with their orders, so you'll be expected to provide proactive and regular updates rather than waiting for them to chase. Alongside customer service, you'll support the day-to-day administration required to keep orders, schedules and stock requirements moving. What will you be doing? Act as a key point of contact for existing customers Provide regular updates regarding current orders and delivery schedules Liaise with Production to progress current and upcoming orders Communicate and interpret customer requirements to the manufacturing team Process production control documentation accurately Identify potential shortages and ensure requirements are communicated internally Monitor customer call-off stock requirements Coordinate stock replenishment for manufactured and purchased items Arrange overseas couriers when required Maintain accurate customer and order information Support general day-to-day Customer Service administration Meet customers face-to-face when visiting site Participate in customer meetings via Microsoft Teams when required Build positive and professional relationships with customers What do you need? We're looking for someone with: Previous Customer Service or client relationship experience Experience dealing directly with customers in a professional environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word Confidence working with data, emails and reporting Strong administrative and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time Good attention to detail GCSE Maths and English at Grade A–C or equivalent Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, production or supply chain would be particularly useful, although the JD does not state this as essential.
