We’re supporting Porvair in New Milton who are looking to recruit a Cleanroom Operative to join their production team on a day shift.
What’s the role all about? This is a production-based role working within a cleanroom environment, supporting manufacturing activities to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be involved in a range of duties including machine operation, inspection and following strict cleanroom procedures. Due to the nature of the environment, all staff must adhere to strict contamination control standards including:
- No mobile phones in the cleanroom
- No makeup
- No jewellery or piercings
- Full compliance with gowning and hygiene procedures
Hours and pay: £13.10 per hour, 39 hours per week, 4.5 day working week, Day shift position.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
- Carry out visual inspections and quality checks on products
- Follow SOPs, work instructions and cleanroom procedures accurately
- Assemble and handle small precision components
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and contamination control
- Record production information accurately using systems or paperwork
- Work towards production targets without compromising quality
- Support continuous improvement and team objectives
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
What you’ll need:
- Experience within a production, manufacturing or assembly environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions
- Good manual dexterity and confidence handling small components
- Experience operating machinery or production equipment
- Understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment
- Understanding of contamination control and gowning procedures
- Experience using production systems or scanners

Salary and benefits:
