We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a specialist manufacturing site in the Greater Manchester area. The company specialises in Low Voltage Switchgear, and this is a key management position overseeing the effective running of the site across production, mechanical assembly, stock, inventory, warehouse and logistics.

Key Areas of Experience

  • Leadership & Team Management - providing clear direction, managing performance and developing an effective team.
  • Production & Assembly - strong experience within production environments, including mechanical assembly.
  • Stock & Inventory - ensuring effective stock control, material availability and accurate inventory management.
  • Warehouse & Logistics - overseeing the efficient movement, storage and distribution of materials and finished products.
  • Production Scheduling - planning and managing production schedules to ensure deadlines and customer requirements are met.
  • Resource Allocation - effectively allocating labour, materials and resources to meet production demands.
  • On-Time Delivery - ensuring production targets and customer delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Problem Solving - identifying operational issues and implementing practical solutions.
  • Communication - communicating effectively across production, warehouse, logistics, management and other key stakeholders.
  • Lean Manufacturing - driving continuous improvement, efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Quality - maintaining consistently high standards across production and assembly.
  • Budget & Cost Control - managing budgets, labour costs and overtime effectively.

The Role

As the Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring that production, assembly, stock, warehouse and logistics operations work effectively together. You will be responsible for leading the team, managing resources, maintaining quality standards and ensuring production schedules and customer delivery requirements are achieved. The role will suit an experienced Site Manager, Production Manager, Operations Manager or Manufacturing Manager who has a strong understanding of production and assembly environments and enjoys a hands-on leadership position.
