This Industrial Engineer is based in Petersfield. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:15am - 4:30pm. The role is paying a competitive salary depending on experience. This is a 12 month FTC.
As the Industrial Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful introduction of new products by developing accurate labour standards and ensuring competitive product costing. You'll work closely with production and engineering teams to analyse manufacturing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency. The role includes:
- Reviewing labour standards
- Supporting first production runs
- Analysing performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Balancing production lines
- Leading value engineering initiatives
- Undertaking production studies
- Recommending process improvements
- Contributing to strategic manufacturing projects that enhance productivity, quality and overall business performance
You will need:
- Previous experience in an Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Process Improvement role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting production and performance data
- Experience developing labour standards, production costing or time studies
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and value engineering principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across production and engineering teams
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and project management skills
