This Field Service Engineer role is working for a well-established global manufacturer of material handling and forklift equipment. The position is field based, covering customer sites across Cumbria. The role is Monday to Friday, with the option of a 40-hour or 45-hour working week. Shift premium and overtime are available, and the salary is up to £47,000 depending on experience. This position is paid door to door and vehicle is provided (personal use allowed).

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing material handling and forklift equipment at customer sites. This includes breakdown repairs, fault finding and planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will work across a varied product range including pallet trucks, counterbalance forklifts and warehouse equipment, while building strong relationships with customers and providing a high standard of on-site support. The role suits someone comfortable working independently, with technical support available when required.

You will need:

  • Experience as a mechanical engineer, forklift engineer, vehicle technician, plant fitter or similar
  • Experience working on material handling or forklift equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good IT skills for job logging and reporting
  • A full UK driving licence
