We're supporting a leading manufacturing business in Fareham who are looking to recruit Machine Cell Technicians to join their Production team. What's the role all about?
As a Machine Cell Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the production process by carrying out inspection, measurement, cleaning and packing activities to ensure components meet the highest quality standards before being dispatched. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll follow established processes and procedures while maintaining excellent attention to detail and consistently achieving production targets.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out production activities safely and efficiently within a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Perform visual inspections to identify defects and ensure products meet quality standards
- Measure components using automated optical measuring equipment
- Clean components using approved automated cleaning processes
- Ensure products are contamination-free before packing
- Pack finished components in line with customer and company specifications
- Complete product labelling and traceability documentation accurately
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Report quality issues or non-conformances promptly
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment
- Experience working in repetitive, target-driven roles
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions accurately

- Experience within cleaning, packing or inspection operations
- Previous quality inspection experience
