Job Description
Kingdom People Kent are excited to be advertising for our client in Greenhithe who are looking for an experienced Chef to lead a busy kitchen in an events company. You will be responsible for kitchen operations, menu development, and leading a team to deliver high-quality food. You will also ensure food hygiene compliance, stock management, and meeting KPI targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness and safety.
- Recruit, train, and motivate kitchen staff to meet food hygiene and quality standards.
- Collaborate on menu development and contribute to new food ideas.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, temperature checks, and food safety regulations.
- Manage stock ordering, weekly stock takes, and control wastage to meet margins.
- Uphold food quality, ensuring dishes meet client specifications.
- Manage kitchen setup, prep, and staff timekeeping.
Requirements:
- Passion for hospitality and food, with leadership experience.
- Strong experience in kitchen management, ordering, and compliance.
- Background as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or Sous Chef, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in menu development, HACCP, and food hygiene.
