Our client is looking to expand the team and hire an experienced Internal Sales Executive. The ideal candidate will come from a technical background; however, this is not essential as full training is provided. This role is working for a company that has been established for over 35 years and has become a world leader within their industry.

Job Description:

  • Focus on new business development through new and existing customers.
  • Generate new project specifications for our chosen product lines with owners/operators and engineers.
  • Assist with sales activities at exhibitions and conferences when required.
  • Research and approach potential clients, projects, and markets to establish new areas of business and focus.
  • Support external sales staff with installation training and support to ensure installation quality when required.
  • Build relationships and identify new contacts/applications and projects to help further grow our business with clients.
  • Drive sustainable sales growth through gaining engineering specifications for solutions and delivering world-class support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Effectively promote and apply company Core Values within the industry.
  • Plan and manage all customer contacts and meetings within the CRM system.
  • Provide routine, accurate, and meaningful market information, forecasting, and product planning to management.
  • Provide pre-sales technical advice and solution guidance, including design input for bespoke products where required.
  • Develop relationships with learning managers within design engineering clients, organizing lunch & learn and CPD programmes.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Professional sales experience with preference to those that have a successful record within an internal sales environment.
  • Experience of working on any of the following would be favourable: process engineering sites, power networks, renewable generation, nuclear, marine, rail, or building infrastructure.
  • Knowledge in target sector, with experience of civil construction, electrical, controls, automation, and/or mechanical systems for our chosen markets.
  • Proven ability to manage long-term and complex sales projects to success.
  • Ability to use industry news/project databases/relationships to develop technical sales opportunities.
  • Experience of working with and supporting external sales roles as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of successfully working from home.

Basic Skills/Knowledge:

  • Successful track record of selling premium solutions within a phone-based selling role.
  • Experience of providing technical support both internally and externally.
  • Successful track record of working with premium solutions against low-cost competitors.
  • Ability or desire to pursue a technical sales role in the future.
  • Full UK driving license.
