Are you a recent Engineering or Quality graduate looking to start your career within a highly regulated manufacturing environment? Do you enjoy problem solving, continuous improvement and working closely with production and engineering teams to drive quality standards? We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Graduate Quality Engineer to join their Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced engineering environment while developing your career in quality engineering.

What’s the role all about?

As a Graduate Quality Engineer, you’ll support quality assurance activities across manufacturing, suppliers and customer-facing projects. You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to help ensure products meet customer specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements. This is a varied role offering exposure to audits, investigations, continuous improvement, root cause analysis and quality systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations
  • Assist with customer and supplier quality activities
  • Support investigations into non-conformances and quality issues
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions using tools such as 8D
  • Help compile quality documentation including AS9102 FAIR documentation
  • Participate in internal and supplier audits
  • Support continuous improvement projects across the business
  • Analyse quality and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support process capability and quality control activities
  • Assist with inspection and verification activities where required
  • Support maintenance of quality systems and standards including ISO9001 and AS9100

What you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Quality
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Interest in quality engineering and regulated manufacturing environments
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work across multiple departments and projects
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Placement year or industry experience within manufacturing or engineering
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, root cause analysis or Six Sigma
  • Understanding of ISO9001 or AS9100 standards
  • Exposure to engineering drawings or inspection processes
