Engineering Manager | 4-Day Week Are you looking for an Engineering Manager opportunity with a growing and highly innovative electronics business that specialises in the development of technically complex products? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who still enjoys being hands-on. This job will see you lead and develop an engineering team while remaining actively involved in product design, technical problem solving, and the successful delivery of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. The position offers a 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday), a 37.5-hour week, and an annual bonus scheme of up to 12%. Key Responsibilities * Lead, mentor and develop an electronics engineering team. * Drive NPI projects from concept, design and validation through to production release. * Provide hands-on technical input and support across product development activities. * Lead design reviews and technical decision-making. * Work closely with customers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. * Collaborate with commercial, manufacturing and operations teams to ensure successful product launches. * Manage engineering priorities, resources and project delivery. * Champion engineering best practice and continuous improvement. About you * Proven experience leading and developing an electronics engineering team, including line management responsibility. * Strong track record of delivering NPI projects from concept through to production. * A hands-on electronics design background. * Strong technical knowledge of: * Analogue electronics * Control loops, including compensation, stability and transient response * Power supply design, stability and performance trade-offs including noise, ripple, regulation and protection * High-voltage power supplies and associated practical design constraints * A strong appreciation for engineering safety and quality. * Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with customers, commercial teams and senior leadership. * A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership capability.
