Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Fareham. This is a temporary role running from now through to December, offering the opportunity to work within a well-respected manufacturing company, in an environment producing components for the precision engineering customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC grinding machines, specifically Lidköping through-put grinders
  • Work with Fanuc-controlled machinery
  • Manufacture components from high-grade metals to tight tolerances
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Carry out self-inspection of parts using appropriate measuring equipment
  • Ensure consistent quality and adherence to aerospace standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in CNC grinding (through-feed / centreless preferred; qualifications not required)
  • Strong background in setting and operating machines (essential)
  • Experience working with Fanuc controls
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Competent in self-inspection and quality checks
  • Experience working with high-specification metals
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
