With ambitious growth plans and multiple live developments across the region, we are looking for an experienced and driven Site Manager to lead new build housing projects in the Chester area. They have expanded significantly in recent years, growing its operations across Cheshire and the North West while maintaining a strong reputation for quality, customer service and craftsmanship.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of new build residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams while maintaining excellent health & safety standards and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all site operations from groundwork through to handover
- Ensure homes are delivered to programme and budget
- Maintain exceptional quality control standards throughout the build process
- Lead and motivate subcontractors and site teams
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
- Work closely with technical, commercial and customer care teams
- Maintain accurate site records and reporting
- Deliver excellent customer satisfaction and support smooth completions
The Candidate
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager with a strong background in new build housing.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing residential new build developments
- Strong knowledge of NHBC standards and UK building regulations
- SMSTS qualification
- Valid CSCS card
- First Aid at Work certification
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors effectively
- Full UK driving licence

- Experience working with volume housebuilders
- Scaffold inspection qualification
- CIOB membership or relevant construction qualification
