Part-Time Administrator – Healthcare Practice
Location: Bury
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Hours: 10am–6pm, Monday–Saturday on a rota basis - 16 hours per week

The Role
We are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Part-Time Administrator to join a busy healthcare practice based in Bury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and communication skills who enjoys working in a professional, patient-focused environment. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support, helping to ensure the practice runs efficiently and patients receive a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing general administrative support to the practice
- Managing telephone calls, emails and enquiries professionally
- Updating and maintaining accurate records and databases
- Processing paperwork and documentation
- Supporting the wider practice team with day-to-day administration
- Liaising with patients, healthcare professionals and other relevant contacts
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
- Ensuring administrative tasks are completed accurately and within required timescales
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organised, reliable and professional
- Confident communicating with patients, colleagues and healthcare professionals
- Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information
- Accurate and detail-focused
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible and able to work 10am–6pm on a rota basis, Monday to Saturday
- Comfortable working in a busy practice environment
- Comfortable regularly using stairs and remaining mobile and active throughout the working day
Previous administration experience is essential, and experience within the NHS, GP/medical practice, healthcare or a similar environment would be highly advantageous.
DBS Requirement
Due to the nature of the role, candidates should ideally hold an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service. Candidates who do not currently have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will also be considered, but must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
