Our client is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver to join their transport team on a full-time basis. This role involves operating refrigerated trailers on a variety of routes across the UK. There may also be occasional loading and unloading duties at delivery locations.

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating Class 1 vehicles with refrigerated trailers
  • Completing deliveries and collections across the UK
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects or maintenance issues
  • Completing delivery paperwork and driver records accurately
  • Ensuring compliance with road transport regulations and company procedures
  • Liaising with transport and warehouse teams regarding delivery schedules and any delays
  • Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Minimum 2 years' HGV driving experience (required for insurance purposes)
  • Refrigerated trailer experience is desirable but not essential
  • Good understanding of driver regulations and road safety requirements
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and work well under pressure
