They are seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. The Role
- Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you will support the commercial delivery of a range of construction projects from inception through to final account.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with cost planning and budget management
- Preparing subcontractor enquiries and procurement packages
- Valuing subcontractor applications and managing payments
- Supporting the preparation of valuations, forecasts and cost reports
- Assisting with change control and variations management
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting the agreement of final accounts
- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
The Candidate
- Degree, HNC/HND or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Previous experience within a construction or commercial environment (placement year experience considered)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a commercial role
- A proactive and team‑focused approach.
