Portfolio Product Owner required for my rapidly growing client. My client exists so organisations can exchange the information that keeps, infrastructure and services running—securely, and without compromise. As Portfolio Product Owner you turn strategy into shipped capability: the backlogs, releases and bills of materials that keep our secure information exchange products current, assured and valuable to defence, government and critical national infrastructure customers. Your decisions decide what engineering builds next and whether customers can trust what they deploy. Performance Objectives * Convert portfolio and customer intent into ordered, estimable backlog items so engineering can deliver agreed goals every sprint and quarter. * Plan and accept releases—including documentation, deployment and marketing updates—so products ship on time and stakeholders know what changed. * Keep product goals, progress, timescales and spend visible to the team, Head of Portfolio and customers, including customer-specific backlogs where needed. * Maintain an accurate bill of materials and act on third-party and end-of-life notices so the portfolio stays supportable and compliant. * Produce quarterly delivery updates and plans that the Portfolio Manager can roll into a coherent, costed portfolio view. * Gather customer, prospect and field feedback and apply it to prioritisation so investment tracks the roadmap and return. * Champion products with use cases and collateral and facilitate engineering estimates so commitments stay realistic. Environment & Resources You will report to the Head of Portfolio and work as a hybrid Product Owner (Agile teams) and requirements manager (non-Agile). Location is independent, with travel to company offices and customers. You partner with Technical Architects, Delivery Managers, engineering, marketing and customer-facing teams. Hours are 37 per week. Eligibility for UK SC clearance is required. Essential Qualifications * Proven Product Owner (or equivalent backlog ownership) experience, ideally with secure information exchange, interoperability or cloud. * Knowledge of the portfolio’s solution types, or IT/information assurance, and the ability to deepen that knowledge quickly. * Experience—or the capacity to learn fast—in defence, government or national security markets. * Clear communication with architects, engineers, senior leaders and customers; productive internal and external relationships. * Ability to obtain and hold SC clearance. Role Selling Points * Shape products that enable high-assurance, cross-domain information exchange for mission-critical customers. * Hybrid PO and portfolio lifecycle ownership—not a ticket farm—with line of sight from roadmap to release
