The Role
Assembly Operative
You will be expected to achieve high standards of quality, in line with targeted levels of output whilst working safely and maintaining full product traceability. You will be working as part of a team and you are expected to contribute to improving any working processes. The main tasks of the role are outlined below…
· Prepare work to be accompanied by studying assembly drawings, bills of materials, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
· Assemble components to drawing requirements, fastening parts and subassemblies.
· Verify assemblies to drawing requirements.
· Resolve assembly problems by notifying Co-ordinator.
· Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
· Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
· Use computers in order to extract data.
· Contribute in a team working environment.
· Contribute to continuous improvement.
· Observe and practice the 5S principles

· Experience of working as an assembly operative in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing would be advantageous
