Are you a detail-oriented Bookkeeper seeking a fresh challenge? Do you thrive in a client-facing role where no two days are the same? Due to ongoing business growth, my client is looking to appoint a capable and proactive Bookkeeper to join their established team in Bury. This position will see you taking ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring all financial records are maintained with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, including the preparation and posting of invoices using Sage and Xero
- Managing sales and purchase order processing
- Completing bank reconciliations on a regular basis
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements
- Working to strict deadlines and maintaining compliance standards
- Handling multi-currency transactions, multiple bank accounts, and CIS processes (advantageous)
- Assisting with accounts preparation to trial balance stage (desirable)
- Maintaining organised financial records and supporting general office/accounting tasks
