Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a background in manufacturing or automated production environments? Do you enjoy fault finding, improving equipment performance and keeping production running efficiently? We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business who are looking to recruit Maintenance Engineers - Night Shift.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll provide engineering support across manufacturing operations, ensuring machinery, automated equipment and production systems operate safely and efficiently. You’ll be involved in both reactive and preventative maintenance activities, while also supporting continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime and improving overall equipment performance. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where reliability, fault finding and teamwork are key.
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Fault find across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automated systems
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records
- Assist with installation, maintenance and optimisation of production equipment
- Support and mentor maintenance technicians where required
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Facilities teams
Requirements:
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship with HNC/HND or equivalent experience
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings
- Experience working with automated production equipment
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices
- Experience with PLCs (Mitsubishi preferred)
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing techniques
