Do you have at least 2 years’ experience using handheld inspection tools such as verniers, callipers, and micrometres? Are you excited by the opportunity to work alongside a team of five skilled aerospace inspectors?
We’re recruiting a Quality Inspector to join a company that manufactures precision-machined components, assembled into complex mechanical products for the aerospace sector. You will enjoy a supportive environment with benefits including up to 11% pension contributions, 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), discounts at major retailers and cinemas, free on-site parking, and a consistently stable workload. The company is actively growing, regularly investing in new equipment, and employs over 160 permanent staff on site.
You’ll work closely with experienced quality professionals, ensuring high standards are met throughout the build process and during final inspections. Using engineering drawings, you’ll perform checks with a variety of handheld inspection tools, conduct visual inspections (including microscope use), and contribute to checks using some automated inspection equipment. You’ll also ensure everything is properly documented and kept up to date from an online clerical perspective. Use of a CMM is also involved – training and support will be provided if needed.
To be considered, you’ll need at least two years’ experience in a similar inspection role using handheld tools, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
You’ll bring strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and be a genuine team player who takes pride in their work.
