We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated individual who has the desire to support people to have the best life possible. Those with high empathy and tolerance, along with a great sense of humour, are key to success in what can be a challenging but rewarding role. Experience of Support and Care, specifically homelessness, would be desirable but not essential.
Flexible working contracts are offered, but a degree of flexibility in approach to work is essential. You must be able to work shifts which will include weekends and evenings.
Job description
As part of the support team you will help ensure a high quality of care for individuals within the Kirkcaldy area. You will support people experiencing long-term homelessness in Hunter House to build tenancy skills and maintain settled accommodation. The role involves understanding day-to-day challenges such as homelessness, addictions, substance misuse and mental health issues.
You will work as part of the assertive outreach team to support people affected by or threatened with homelessness. A driving license and access to a car for work are required; you will be reimbursed for car use at 55p per mile.
The role focuses on supporting daily living activities to help service users live fulfilling lives.
